Basement Splicing: BPI 144 & 288
Description
Description
Standards
The basement splicing box "BPI" is an interconnection solution dedicated to indoor distribution for FTTH networks.
BPI is designed for a maximum of 144 or 288 subscribers (splices) and adapted to configurations point to point or GPON.
Description
BPI allows splicing of a main cable to 6 or 12 secondary or drop cables by optimizing the density of connection (max. 144 or 288 splices).
Composition
BPI contains up to 3 (on BPI 48/96/144) or 6 (on BPI 288) splicing cassettes, each accommodating up to 48 splices. Each cassette can also receive splitters type SOD 250μm until 1x32 for PON applications (it is possible to integrate a splitter 1x64 using 2 cassettes).
A space under the cassettes makes it possible to coil fibers. The access to this space is possible thanks to the swivelling support of the cassettes.
The control of the bending radius is ensured by the presence of guiding accessories.
The boxes consist of
- a wall-mounted box with a cover
- 3 or 6 swivelling splicing cassettes
- a clamping system for cable
