Ultra Lightweight (ULW) Aerial Cable
ULW cable, including a rodent repellent version, has been added to the range of telecom cables for the UK market.
The cable is used primarily for access, distribution, city networks, and FTTx applications. It is designed for installation in the BT fibre network in overhead and underground environments and is approved for installation on the Openreach pole & duct PIA infrastructure in the UK.
The cable is design to respond to the British Telecommunications Specifications CW1842 and related specifications CW1500 part 2, 7 and 11.
- Rodent-repellent outer sheath (RR)
- 12-48 fibres
- Maximum spans 68m
- Metallic brass coated rods
- Microbundles inside - easy to open without special tools
- Waterproof dry core structure
- Small lightweight design to minimize the effect of ice and wind
- Breaking strength <2kN to protect pole infrastructure
- Fully compatible with BT tooling
Aerial Drop Cables
In addition, aerial drop cables are available:
- 1-4 fibres
- 900µ buffered fibre
- Ultra compact design: 3 - 3.8mm
- Breaking strength <2kN
- Waterproof, dielectric, UV resistant
